Women in Science at Isla Mar: Carolina Aragones

For Women's History Month this March, we're celebrating Isla Mar's women in science! Dive in as we get to know what inspires them, what energizes them, and what gives them hope for the future.

Carolina Aragones| Marine Scientist

Hi! My name is Carolina Aragones Fred and I'm a graduate student in the Department of Marine Sciences and at the moment, I work with various organizations and scientific companies like Isla Mar.

Why do you love the ocean?

The ocean has been a place where I have fun going surfing and swimming and the place where I conduct my studies.

What’s your favorite part of work?

My favorite part of work is collecting reef fish data while diving. With the data we collect, we're able to compare the status of fish population over the years.
