About the Course
Hidden Secrets of the Jungle Forest - Bryophytes
Join us to explore the fascinating world of bryophytes, the often-overlooked plants that thrive in jungle forests. Participants will learn about the various species that belong to this group and their ecological importance. Designed to engage teenage scientists-in-training (13-17 yrs old) to help develop observational skills, notetaking, sketching and recording what they see in the world around them, just like a naturalist! This workshop is designed as part of our Junior Naturalist series. No prior experience or participation in other workshops is necessary, and we invite our past Junior Naturalists to jump back in too!

What You'll Learn
Identification of different types of bryophytes, including mosses, liverworts, and hornworts.
The role of bryophytes in the ecosystem and their significance in biodiversity.
